Learn about Snow Retention!

Snow Retention is used as a means of preventing ice slides on roof tops.  Snow Retention is used to retain snow and ice build ups which can potentially slide off, causing injury or damage.  Snow Retention can also be referred to as ice brackets, snow guards, ice guards, ice blocks, or snow birds.  Our clear Snow Retention ice guards are an effective way to prevent ice slides.  They are easy to install, easy on the wallet, and strong enough to hold snow and ice safely.  We are the inventors of polycarbonate (plastic) Snow Retention and our products continue to lead the industry in innovation.

In any area prone to ice, damage from its accumulation is always a possibility.  The most common instance of this being true is in the case of rooftops that have no way of holding onto the accumulation.  This common danger can be simply prevented using snow retention.  Instead of a smooth surface where snow and ice can simply slide off, snow retention add a barrier for it to gather. Our Snow Retention has the strength to hold this snow, until its eventual melts off.  Such an installment is vital in protecting unsuspecting pedestrians from injury, or underlying property from damage.

Another obvious benefit of Snow Retention is the protection of gutters.  Whether in residential areas or industry, gutter installation can be costly. Location is not important in this issue either. A random snow storm in any southern state can be enough to ruin many gutter systems.
